Mrs. Obiageli B. Orah is the Director of Public Affairs & Consumer Protection at the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), where she leads communications, passenger rights advocacy, and consumer-protection initiatives across the nation’s airport network.
A people-centred professional with a background in public service and community relations, Mrs. Orah previously served as Deputy Chairperson (Protocol) in Anambra State and as a Board Director at the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), roles that helped shape her expertise in stakeholder engagement and public policy.
At FAAN she has driven several service-improvement initiatives, including the launch of a SERVICOM committee at Murtala Muhammed International Airport to strengthen cross-departmental service delivery and elevate the passenger experience. Her leadership has also seen FAAN adopt clearer consumer communication during major operational developments and infrastructure rollouts.
Mrs. Orah is an active voice in aviation media and public briefings, regularly issuing official FAAN statements on operational matters such as runway works, cargo terminal commissioning, and passenger security, and was recently inducted into the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
