Capt. Chris Ona Najomo is a veteran aviation professional with over three decades of experience across flight operations, airport management, safety promotion, and aviation regulation. Appointed Acting Director-General of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) in 2023, he has led regulatory reforms to strengthen safety oversight, operational compliance, and industry accountability. Before his current role he held senior positions in flight operations, training, and air transport regulation, combining hands-on piloting expertise with deep regulatory and leadership experience.
At TRAVCONEXPO 2025, Capt. Najomo joined the panel on “Navigating Airport Protocols for Seamless Travel.”He will bring a regulator’s perspective on balancing security and passenger facilitation, harmonizing airline–airport–regulator procedures, and practical steps for building compliant, passenger-centric airport operations across Africa.
